Your US tax advisor in the UK, with US and UK returns handled in one place.
If you are American and live in Britain, the IRS still wants a return every year. Our London team of US attorneys, IRS Enrolled Agents and US/UK tax accountants files your US and UK returns together, so nothing is missed and nothing is taxed twice.

Why a specialist US tax advisor in the UK
Two tax systems. One US tax advisor who understands both.
By law, all US persons must file annual US income tax returns, reporting worldwide income, capital gains and non-US assets, no matter where they live. That includes US citizens, green card holders and people born abroad to a US parent.
Living in the UK means you file with HMRC as well. A UK-only accountant may not know the US rules. A US-only firm may not know the UK ones. Our US/UK team understands how HMRC and the IRS treat your income, investments, pensions, property and trusts, and how to manage both.
We prepare Form 1040 and UK Self-Assessment (SA100), apply foreign tax credits and treaty relief, and report overseas accounts, pensions and trusts (FBAR, Form 8938).

Questions
US tax advisor UK: common questions.
I live in the UK. Do I still have to file US tax returns?
Yes. All US persons must file annual US income tax returns and information returns, wherever they live. This applies even if you also file a UK return.
Can one US tax advisor handle my UK return too?
Yes. Our US/UK team prepares UK Self-Assessment (SA100) alongside your US return, so the two are coordinated.
Will I be taxed twice?
Foreign tax credits and the US/UK tax treaty are there to help prevent it. We apply them to your returns.
I am behind on my US returns. Can you help?
Yes. See our page on the streamlined filing compliance procedures.
Where are you based?
Our London office is at Staple Court, 11 Staple Inn, London WC1V 7QH. We also have offices in Zurich and Geneva.
